5 See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it.
Deu 4:5
That you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it—Do in like manner as the commandments the Lord direct to; or that which is right; proper and fitting to be done, by doing which they continue in the land they were about to take possession of, therefore when in it were to be careful to them; some of them could not be done till they came into it, and all were to be done in it.
